FIRST EDITION of this work, comissioned by Webley from this group of then little-known artists, and including the first published designs of Columbani and Milton. Many of the chimney-piece designs show portraits above them, two of which are of Inigo Jones (plates 24 and 26) and one possibly of Wren (plate 25). Archer 362.1; Harris 158; RIBA 4014.
