Large woodcut arms of Savoy on recto of first leaf, a few woodcut initials (intermittent worming in the inner margins with occasional loss of text, ownership inscription excised from head of first leaf, some browning, spotting and waterstaining, a few holes in first leaf slightly affecting the woodcut). Contemporary vellum (lacks a part of lower cover, stained, lacks ties). Provenance: a few contemporary marginalia; monastic purchase inscription under woodcut arms (dated 5 May 1548, heavily inked over). A late but uncommon edition of the Statutes of Savoy, printed by Bernardino de Silva whose works are 'divenute oggi assai rare', Ascarelli-Menato, p.215.
