Printed in Greek, woodcut headpiece and decoration on title (lightly browned throughout, a few dampstains at the beginning). Contemporary German blindstamped calf (head and foot of spine chipped, 2 corners worn, lacks ties). Provenance: Friedrich Münter (signature, dated 1824, at foot of title); George Dunn of Woolley Hall (book-label). One of the earliest books printed at Eton, under the direction of Sir Henry Savile (1549-1622), provost of the college from 1596. STC 12346; Hoffmann II, p.174.
