the oviform jar of polyagonal section with a domed cover, painted in 'Delft Doré' style with a design in the Imari palette of exotic birds in flight over rockwork issuing peonies and other flowers all within stiff-leaf bands, inscribed numerals to base -- 10½in. (26.5cm.) high, 19th century (replacement metal finial to cover, other chips and wear)
