A Palissy-type dish
probably School of Fontainbleau, moulded to the centre with a stylised dolphin wearing a crown within masks suspended by figure leaning over a square shaped panel within masks above spread wings, the lobed rim moulded with putti masks between leaves and below starbursts, enriched in a typical palette -- 11¾in. (29.8cm.) diam., 17th century (some minor chips, flaking and firing faults)
