The bowl with bombé sides rising from a neat ring foot to an everted rim, the semi-translucent stone with some opaque white mottling and soft polish; with a huanghuali domed cover carved and pierced with a band of archaistic bird scroll below a band of taotie masks encircling the carnelian agate finial carved in high relief on top with a coiled chilong
