Each sceptre formed by an openwork filigree frame of interlaced gilt-copper ropetwist wires within beaded borders, the head, middle and end inlaid with a carved, shaped jadeite plaque of mottled green color above small blue, turquoise and yellow champlevé enamel butterflies alternating with beaded shou medallions, with further champlevé enamel appliqués shaped as Daoist Emblems on the shaft, with a small ring at the end for the attachment of a tassel
