Both worked almost entirely in satin stitch with the exception of some blossoms picked out in tiny seed pearls and coral beads, one depicting a tall chrysanthemum plant growing from a rocky riverbank with two long-tailed birds hovering in the branches above, the second similarly worked with branches of yellow autumn kui, viburnum and asters
