A LARGE BLUE AND WHITE DOUBLE-GOURD VASE
MING DYNASTY, JIAJING PERIOD (1522-1566)
Painted overall with a dense trellis-pattern ground surrounding quadrilobed reserves of figures on terraces on the lower body, and double-gourd-shaped panels of cranes on the bulbous neck below small reserves of censers at the mouth rim, the waist encircled by two bands of crane decoration
