A similar cup in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, illustrated by P.J. Donnelly, Blanc de Chine, New York, 1969, pl. 24 C, where it is dated 1650-1700, is inscribed with an inscription referring to it as a nuptial wine cup (translation p. 262).
