Okawachi, Nabeshima Ware, Edo period (late 17th century)
Circular, set on a raised ring foot and painted on the interior in dark lines and pale washes of underglaze-blue with a fretwork pattern within a ring of celadon glaze on the extended rim, the dish painted on the underside in underglaze-blue with three tasseled coin clusters and the foot encircled by a 'comb tooth' band within narrow lines, the dish also applied by a transparent glaze of faintly blue tinge; foot rim unglazed
