FIRST EDITION. Gibson, a rich Jamaica planter, was in Boston when the expedition against Louisbourg was mounted. He joined the expedition and kept this detailed journal of the siege. The large folding map depicts the harbor and fortifications at Louisbourg. Not in Lande. Howes G-155; Sabin 27315.
