2o (338 x 228 mm). Collation: a8-d8 e-h6 i-o8 p6 q8 (many misprints). 118 leaves. 2 columns, text surrounded by commentary. 55-57 respectively 78 lines. Gothic types 6:65, 7*:92. Opening 14-line initial illuminated by a contemporary Nuremberg artist in blue with white modelling on a burnished gold ground with punch-dotted decoration, within segmented frame of pale green, red and yellow, foliate flourishes in color; most 4-line initials alternating colored in red and blue, red headline, capital strokes and paragraph marks, colophon printed in red. (Dampstainig to upper margin, a1 and d5 perforated stamp, joints cracked and b1 with tear to inner margin.) Contemporary Nurmberg binding of blind-stamped calf, with outer border of alternating large rosettes and scrolling vine tools, "sextus clement" stamped in gothic letters on top, central panel with curving vine-stems forming compartments, each filled with fleur-de-lys tool, central panel of lower cover divided by diagonal quadruple fillets in the form of a cross of St. Andrew, each of the four resulting triangles stamped with fleur-de-lys tool, spine in 5 compartments, divided by 4 double raised bands, bands sound (worn, with portions of leather vanished and wood showing, clasps missing).
