AN IMPRESSIVE ANTIQUE EMERALD AND DIAMOND NECKLACE
Composed of a graduating series of circular, oval and hexagonal-cut emeralds, weighing approximately 15.66, 27.26, 25.58, 32.87, 36.40, 40.22, 33.61, 24.48 and 19.92 carats, each within old European and old mine-cut diamond surrounds, joined by similarly-set foliate motif spacers, to the gold curb link backchain and old mine-cut diamond clasp, circa 1900, 20½ ins.
With report 41499 dated 22 August 2003 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that the nine emeralds are of Colombian origin and show moderate indications of oil enhancement
The total weight of the emeralds is approximately 256.00 carats
