With rectangular brass movement, striking and alarm on two gongs, the rectangular mother-of-pearl scale motif case, enhanced at the corners by coral columnar corners, the base and top set with stepped onyx plinths, with coral feet, the top joined to an onyx handle, with calibré-cut coral and mother-of-pearl detail, centering upon a gold satiné rectangular dial, with champlevé enamel Roman numerals, the similarly-enameled hands of stylized lotus design, within an onyx and carved coral surround, enhanced by carved coral Egyptian caryatids, circa 1925, 5½ x 4 1/8 x 8 5/8 ins., in a Cartier brown leather presentation case
