AN AMLASH BRONZE WILD GOAT RATTLE

The stemmed openwork rattle with single ball, surmounted by a wild goat, 5 in. (12.9 cm.) high; a Luristan bronze rattle with an ibex head protome and two balls, a button knob at one end and two suspension loops on the centre back, circa 8th Century B.C., 3¼ in. (8.2 cm.) long; a bronze hinged armlet in two parts, each with animal mask terminals, one section with three prominent ridges, circa 8th-7th Century B.C., 3¾ in. (9.5 cm.) diam.; and a bronze axe head, the shaft with ridged collar at either end, a recumbent lion along the butt, 2nd millennium B.C., 4 in. (10.3 cm.) long (4)
