AN EGYPTIAN PLASTER CROCODILE MUMMY MASK
ROMAN PERIOD, 1ST-2ND CENTURY A.D.
The hollow stucco head with well defined jagged teeth, moulded bumps on the forehead, the raised brows with painted and inlaid glass eyes, traces of black and red painted details; and a Coptic terracotta crocodile, with large open jaws and pointed teeth, the tail curled up over the back, decorated with punched circle decoration, repaired with restoration, circa 5th Century B.C.
