CIRCA 575-550 B.C.
The frieze around the shoulder with central conjoined lotus and palmette motif, birds and panthers, rosette infill, a stopped meander band below and further concentric bands, rays around the foot, one handle missing and paint worn, 6 7/8 in. (17.5 cm.) high; a Late Corinthian pottery convex pyxis, decorated with alternating black and red tongues around the neck, the body with enclosed palmette and bud chain between horizontal lines, 550-500 B.C., 4½ in. (11.5 cm.) high; and a Late Corinthian pottery exaleiptron, circa 550 B.C., 6¼ in. (16 cm.) diam. (3)
