An unusual antique Qashqai carpet, South-West Persia
The shaded indigo field with linked hooked and floral lozenges, various floral and hooked panels together with human figures around large central panel with similar linked and hooked lozenges containing stylised palmettes surrounded by small rosettes and animal figures, in an indigo border of stylised hooked panels between floral meander, barber-pole, panelled and floral stripes, checkered skirt at each end, very slight localized wear, minute hole in one corner, small old repairs on edges (very well blended)
