This table is almost certainly from the same workshop as a table sold The Property of a New York Estate, Christie's, New York, 12-13 October 1995, lot 133, which displayed the same cube parquetry to the top and with a very similarly decorated gamesboard to the interior. There are printed versions of the game, which were published in London by Wallis in 1807.
