The circular top tilting above an incurved tripartite stem and base on lappet-headed scroll feet and casters, with yellow chalk number 7594 to underside and with label inscribed This table top is a single piece of Iron Wood/Received of Henry Reginald Corbel Esquire/the sum of Fifteen Pounds for Round Ironwood Table. the Property of the Late Rev. Robert Upton and signed John C. Upton, for the representatives of the Rev. Robert Upton, 26th January 1882/The table was brought from India by Robert Clive a nephew of the Great Lord Clive
