The LMS (ex MR) Class 1 0-6-0 ST locomotive No. 1719,
built up by C. Walker with external details including brake and sanding gear, tool box, fine pipework, riveting, tank filler caps, firing iron, some scale cab and backhead fittings, steps, hand and lamp irons and lamps and other details, finished in unlined pre-1928 LMS black livery -- 9 x 20.3cm. (3½ x 8in.)

Lot Essay

This fully detailed kit built model represents one of a very numerous class of Midland Railway shunting tanks with open back cabs originally designed by Samuel Johnson. The model shows it with later Deeley modifications.
