The MR Johnson 4-4-0 locomotive and tender No.2184,
scratch built by K. Woodhead, with external details including brake and sanding gear, fine pipework, riveting, scale cab and backhead fittings, steps, hand and lamp irons (one missing). Tender details include brake gear, toolbox, drawbar buffers, watercock, tank filler cap, steps, hand and lamp irons. Finished in finely lined pre-1905 MR livery by L. Goddard --9 x 37cm. (3½ x 14¾in.)

Lot Essay

This model represents the original 'slim boiler' style of the Johnson 4-4-0 which was so characteristic of the Midland Railway in the late Victorian times.
