A well engineered 5in. gauge model of the 0-6-0 side tank locomotive No.2727 'Ironside',
built by H.N. Pennington to the design of Simplex with brazed superheated copper boiler with fittings including water and pressure gauges, safety, blower, injector, whistle, clack and blowdown valves. Chassis details include twin outside cylinders with Walschaert's valve gear, cab controlled draincocks, mechanical lubricator, fluted connecting rods, eccentric driven feed pump, injector, whistle, steps, hand and lamp irons, finished in blue and dark red with black and white lining, the bunker side with plate engraved Caledonian Railway No.2727 Windermere 1981 -- 34.5 x 84cm. (13½ x 33in.). With three boiler certificates expiring on: 10.03.86, 05.03.84 and 10.06.82; and two further dated 03.80 and 10.07.79.
