A Northeast Indian, Pala styla, phyllite stone stele of Vishnu

The four-armed deity standing on a lotus which is placed on a stepped plinth carved with tendrils, donors and Garuda, his principle hands in varadamudra and holding sankha, both others with gada and cakra, wearing dhoti, bejewelled, his face with almond-shaped eyes, high kiritamakuta, flanked by Laksmi and Sarasvati holding camara respectively vina and elaborate backslab with central kirrtimukha
