A Central Indian sandstone stele with Umamaheshvara
12th century
Carved in relief with Siva seated on his bull, his right foot resting on the plinth, his four hands holding his specific attributes, wearing dhoti, bejewelled, his face with almond-shaped eyes and his hairdress combed into a high jatamakuta, his consort Parvati seated on his lap, her right foot resting on her lion, with her right arm around the shoulder of Siva and the left holding darpana and surrounded by various figures
