A Northeast Indian, Pala style, bronze figure of Sri
8th/9th century
Seated in lalitasana on a lotus which is placed on a rectangular base decorated with parrot, vases and an unidentifiable ornament, her right hand in varadamudra, the left holding ear-of-corn, wearing sarong, bejewelled, her face with almond-shaped eyes, tiara in front of the chignon and a flaming halo behind surmounted by a parasol, green patina
