The cup with gilded scrolls on blue and white ground, with the interlaced initials 'AM' surmounted by the Imperial crown, the interior of the cup gilded, the saucer with similar design, marked on bases
The cup: 2 7/8 in. (7.3 cm.) high

Lot Essay

The interlaced initials 'AM' belong to the heir to the thrown, Grand Duke Alexander Nicolaevich (Alexander II from 1855) and his wife Maria Alexandrovna.
