Rectangular, on four round silver feet, the cover applied with conforming silver plaque depicting a bogatyr holding an axe in his hands fighting a three-headed dragon, further painted with the Order of St. George with its ribbon above the Russian inscription 'In help of the St. George Knights, victims of the war,' signed by Nicholas Samokish, the vellum portfolio executed by Gaffelberg, Riga, marked lower left of cover
