Ovoid, on canted pedestal base with laurel and oakleaf band, with leaf calyx, the body with cast panel of racing charioteers on one side, and scroll cartouche on one side, engraved with armorials, the upper body with applied grapevine band, the rim with egg-and-dart border, with two entwined branch handles, the domed cover with flower and palmette calyx surmounted by a later wheat sheaf finial, marked on body and cover bezel, the finial Victorian, mark of William Cooper
