A Victorian porcelain strut timepiece, circa 1880
The oval case with floral border and cresting modelled with amorini, Meissen crossed sword mark to the top, with gilt sight ring to florally engraved silvered Roman dial, signed on a central cartouche J.W.BENSON/25, OLD BOND ST./LONDON, blued steel fleur-de-lys hands, the French eight day single barrel movement with vertical cylinder escapement and VAP stamp -- 13¾in. (35cm.) high
