The hood with inlaid patera and reeded angles below dentil cornicing, ebony and satinwood inlaid trunk door, matching inlays to plinth, the 12 in. wide white painted dial with scooped upper angles, of regulator format, signed HANDLEY & MOORE/CLERKENWELL CLOSE/LONDON, blued steel hands and arrow strike/silent hand above, eight day movement with five large pillars, dead beat escapement, maintaining power and rack strike on bell; wood rod pendulum with calibrated rating nut to brass bob -- 86 in. (219 cm.) high
