A similar bottle in the Hong Kong Museum of Art is illustrated in Snuff Bottles of the Ch'ing Dynasty, no. 114. Two other examples decorated entirely in ruby enamel, have been published: one offered by Butterfield and Butterfield, 7 November 1991, lot 969; and the other illustrated in Zhongguo Biyanhu Zhenshang, no. 125.
