OTTOMAN TURKEY, CIRCA 1650
With sloping rim on short foot, the white interior painted in blue, green, black and red, with gilding in some places over the glaze, with a central fantastic double spouted ewer, the body with split leaf and floral motifs, mouth and foot issuing fleshy palmettes, flanked by blue and red floral sprays, the border with alternating paired red leaf and green flowerheads, the exterior with alternating blue and green motifs, slight fritting to rim, one hairline crack, drill hole in foot
11½in. (29.5cm.) diam.
