Still a dense rich red. Enormously intense bouquet of dark plums & cassis; the palate lavished with huge amounts of ripe, concentrated raspberry and plums flavours, with a lovely herbaceous touch. A hugely structured wine. Phemomenal length; spicy, warm and very flavoursome. It always amazes me how a wine with such weight, power and extraction can be so superbly balanced. ****1/2 Great now - 2015 Aug. 2001 DW
