Still deep from core to rim. Deep subdued nose, hints of smoke, dark plum and spice. The palate is a lesson fine Claret! Supremely balanced, boundless weight, composed, endless flavour. Spicy, rich; thick, the tannin smothered in dark ripe fruit. Fantastic now, but has plenty more to offer. ***** May 2003 DW
