A purple black wall of fruit. Prime super ripe cassis, black fruit aroma; incredibly lush. Magnificently intense, but not over extracted or over ripe. Condensed and superbly intergrated spice and thick chewy ripe currant flavours; layer after layer of fruit. Plenty of weight and backbone. Slightly dry and very, very long on the finish. One of the greatest young wines I've ever tasted ***** 2015 - 2040 + Perhaps this will ecpipse them all? Tasted at the 1998 Grange launch with John Duval NY July 2003 DW
