Engraved frontispiece portrait, additional allegorical title dated 1631, ornaments (occasional light staining). Contemporary speckled calf, covers ruled in blind, spine with raised bands (a little bowed, some light mainly marginal staining, lightly rubbed and scuffed). Provenance: "M. A." (initials stamped in blind on covers). Gibson 175; STC 1172. Bound, as often, with Bacon's New Atlantis. A Worke unfinished.
