Basse, 1839. 4° (272 x 221mm). 6 lithographed plates only (of 8), 4 hand-coloured (text spotted, some light spotting to plates). Original wrappers with printed label on upper wrapper (torn with loss at edges). cf. Blunt p.219; Nissen BBI 1493. RARE. Neither Blunt nor Nissen mention the present German translation. Blunt knew the French original only from the entry in the British Museum Catalogue, as the book had been destroyed in World War II. Nissen could not locate a copy of our translation either.
