According to the newspaper article, Eric Clapton and Black Sabbath were appearing at the Perth Entertainment Centre on consecutive nights in December, 2004. Clapton, his entourage and Black Sabbath were all staying in the Sheraton Hotel. One evening Ritchie Blackmore was staging..a protest performance...against the hotel management, in his hotel room, which disturbed Alphi who was in the next room; he burst into Blackmore's room protesting "If I'd wanted to hear a rock band I would have brought [sic] a ticket to a concert".
