The accompanying letter from musician S.M. Gallifent states that he...learned of the guitar when the Travelling [sic] Wilbury's [sic] made their album at Dave Stewart's house in Los Angeles...The guitar was purchased from "Voltage Guitars" off Sunset Boulevard...
Gallifent was in a band called Pleasure with Dave Stewart who apparently, were recording at Stewart's house at the time the Traveling Wilburys were making their first album, Traveling Wilburys Vol.I, in 1988. Roy Orbison's fellow Traveling Wilburys included George Harrison and Bob Dylan - tragically, Orbison died only a few weeks after the album's release.
