Lot Essay

The vendor of this Lot, and Lots 209, 211 and 212, became friendly with The Beatles after going to see them regularly at The Cavern Lunchtime Sessions. She and a group of school friends decided the Beatles should be on television and wrote to Associated-Rediffusion Television, who produced Tuesday Rendezvous to recommend them, they also wrote to Brian Epstein to tell them of their plan. In response, Epstein wrote back to say that he too had contacted Associated-Rediffusion, and the letter in this lot from the Beatles arrived shortly afterwards.
