Each with padded scrolled arms with applied foliage panels, above a fluted frieze, on turned fluted legs headed by rectangular paterae, each with indistinct pencil inscription 'Mr B...', one decorated in pale green, the other painted white with loose arm panels

The Leigh family, Luton Hoo, Bedfordshire and subsequently in the 19th century Lees Court, Faversham, Kent.

Lot Essay

The drawing-room window seats, with their flowered tablets and antique-fluted frames and legs, are designed in the George III antique manner of the 1760s.
