The rounded rectangular twin-flap top crossbanded in satinwood, above a pair of frieze drawers and a pair of simulated drawers on the reverse, on rectangular end-supports and downswept legs inlaid with boxwood lines, brass foliate caps and castors, the drawers inscribed 'Library', the handles probably added later
