Signed Eduardus East, Londini, circa 1660
With gilt-finished gut and fusée verge movement, finely chased, engraved and pierced floral decorated balance cock and foot, secured by a pin to a block in the top plate, steel two-armed pre-hairspring balance wheel, worm set-up with blued steel decorative mounts, silver regulation dial, pierced Egyptian pillars, the silver dial with engraved and blackened Roman numerals, half-hour divisions, inner quarter hour ring, centred by a finely engraved riverside scene, single steel hand, in plain circular case, plain split bezel, ring pendant and seven-piece hinge, together with a leather covered and silver pinwork floral decorated outer case, movement signed
