Lot Essay

According to the records of Vacheron Constantin, the present watch was sold in 1934. It is part of a small series of aluminium dress watches made as a study and then presented as gifts to employees of aluminium companies in North America and Canada.

The advantages of this metal are its extremely light weight and resistance to corrosion. The overall weight of the present lot including all parts is only 23 grams.
