Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present clock in 1968 and its subsequent sale on 12 December 1968. Furthermore delivered with the original fitted presentation box and a gilt brass wall stand acquired by the first owner from Patek Philippe in 1968.

To the best of our knowledge, only six examples of a Patek Philippe photoelectric clock with perpetual calendar are known to this day.

The last example of a reference 503 perpetual calendar solar clock was sold in these rooms on 18 May 2004, lot 72, SFr. 68,115.00.
