Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming manufacture of the present watch in 1958 and its subsequent sale on 24 July 1959.

Production of reference 2584 was launched in 1958 and replaced by reference 3435 in 1960. It is thought that no more than five examples of reference 2584 in pink gold have been offered at auction to date.

The model features a waterproof-style snap on back with a raised border fitting tightly into the case, hence protecting it against the ingress of humidity.
