Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with pink gold Breguet numerals in 1942 and its subsequent sale on 20 April 1942.

The large Calatrava model reference 570 was introduced to the market in 1938, featuring either subsidiary or sweep centre seconds. It was made in stainless steel, yellow, pink and white gold and platinum.

The present watch is from the first series made with subsidiary seconds and thought to be one of only four examples of this reference in pink gold with Breguet numerals known to date.
