With backwound jewelled lever movement, the oval rose-coloured dial with black Breguet numerals on gilt chapter ring, blued steel moon-style hands, centred by a circular ivory-coloured plate with a finely painted polychrome scene signed Rivier depicting four cherubs playing with a rose-coloured ribbon, in oval case with finely chased floral decoration to the top, all attached to a rose-coloured ribbon and gilt metal hanger, case signed

Chevron, active from 1923 to 1925, was the trademark of Henri Ditisheim of La Chaux-de-Fonds. According to an ad from 1925, the company specialized in "8 days clocks in bronze and silver with chased decoration, ribbons and châtelaines" (Swiss Timepiece Makers 1775-1975 by Kathleen H. Pritchard, D-41).

A l'Emeraude, the famous jeweller and watch retailer based in Lausanne, was founded in 1909.
